National Girls & Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) is a powerful reminder of the impact sports have on building confidence, leadership, and opportunity for girls and women everywhere. Since 1987, this national celebration has advocated for equity in sports and encouraged girls to stay active and engaged. However, despite the many benefits of sports participation—including improved self-esteem, leadership skills, and academic success—barriers to access still exist, particularly for young girls.
One major barrier? Access to essential equipment, including sports bras—a critical yet often overlooked piece of athletic gear for female athletes. That’s where FLY:FWD comes in.

FLY:FWD is a groundbreaking initiative from Operation Warm, launched in partnership with the Philadelphia Eagles, to remove barriers and empower young girls to participate in athletics with confidence. At its core, FLY:FWD provides brand-new, high-quality sports bras—because for too many girls, the lack of this essential gear is a reason they opt out of sports entirely.
