Operation Warm’s First Layer of Confidence PSA is an Anthem Awards finalist, and now you can help us win the Community Voice Award.
We’re excited to share that our First Layer of Confidence public service announcement has been named a Finalist in the 6th Annual Anthem Awards in the Belonging & Inclusion category! The Anthem Awards celebrate purpose and mission-driven work making a positive impact in communities around the world. The PSA was selected as one of the highest-scoring projects among more than 2,500 entries from around the world.
The recognition celebrates a message at the heart of Operation Warm’s work: essentials can provide more than warmth or comfort. They can help give a child the confidence to show up, participate, and feel like they belong.
The First Layer of Confidence
Our First Layer of Confidence was created to bring greater awareness to childhood clothing insecurity and shift the way we think about essential apparel.
A brand-new coat, pair of shoes, or other essential items can help a child walk into school feeling comfortable, confident, and ready to participate. Throughout the PSA, Operation Warm set out to show how meeting these basic needs can help create a greater sense of confidence, belonging, and opportunity for children.
That message has reached audiences across the country, and being recognized by the Anthem Awards gives us another opportunity to amplify an issue that too often goes unseen and the difference the right essentials can make in a child’s life.
Now, We Need Your Vote!
In addition to being considered for a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Anthem Award, our First Layer of Confidence is eligible for the Anthem Community Voice Award, which is decided by public voting.
And that’s where you come in.
Voting is open now through Thursday, October 29th at 11:59 p.m. PT, and every vote can help us bring greater attention to childhood insecurity and the power of brand-new essentials.
Once you’ve voted, help us spread the word! Share the opportunity with friends, family, colleagues, and your community, and encourage them to cast their vote for Operation Warm, too.
We’re incredibly proud to see our First Layer of Confidence recognized alongside purpose-driven work from around the world. Most of all, we’re grateful for everyone who continues to help us show children that something as simple as a brand-new essential can be the first layer of confidence they carry with them each day.
